Palm oil has been linked to troubling social and environmental problems, including the presence of forced labor and human trafficking in its supply chain. Verité is combating these abuses, and promoting ethical labor practice in palm oil production, by helping companies and other stakeholders understand the problem, identify it in the supply chain, and build effective solutions.
Verité is working to promote ethical labor practice in the seafood sector through advocacy and research that sheds further light on the problem, and through development of resources and approaches that help governments and companies build practical, sustainable solutions.
Across sectors, industries and countries, we develop tools, implement programs, and conduct research to take aim at serious labor issues.
We provide training to brand CSR and procurement staff, auditors, facilities, workers, government actors, and NGOS globally. Our solution-oriented training programs provide practical tools, skills, and knowledge to build controls into everyday business practices.
The research, tools, and initiatives in this section are freely available to educate and support improvements in labor conditions. You are welcome to access and distribute the information within your businesses and organizations.
