The Responsible Sourcing Tool (RST) website provides information and tools to support companies, federal contractors, federal procurement professionals, advocates, investors, consumers, and others in their efforts to prevent and address human trafficking, including forced labor, in global supply chains.
The RST includes sector-specific Due Diligence Toolsets with a model Compliance Plan for the U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulation on Combating Trafficking in Persons, helping businesses and governments identify gaps in suppliers’ ability to prevent and address human trafficking and forced labor risks. The Resource Library offers case studies, external reports from NGOs and labor rights organizations, and research findings on forced labor by sector and country. Through regularly updated Sector and Commodity Reports, RST provides the latest information on forced and child labor risks in commodity production processes, documented by country, along with sector-specific overviews of risk factors, workforce characteristics, production activities, and employment methods.
The Responsible Sourcing Tool (RST) is a result of a multi-year collaboration between Verité and the U.S. Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.
