A cultural anthropologist by training, Elizabeth joined Verité in 2014, bringing more than 25 years of deep, field-based experience to her role as Chief Program Officer at Verité. Elizabeth is responsible for oversight of the organization’s global programming portfolio

As a distinguished labor rights expert in the prevention and remediation of child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking in complex global supply chains, Elizabeth directed decade-long programming that yielded the groundbreaking Farm Labor Due Diligence Initiative toolkit. She is a seasoned researcher, teacher, and cross-cultural facilitator, and is skilled at bridging gaps between the private sector, governments, NGOs, workers, and farmers. Elizabeth has been instrumental in developing Verité’s programs focused on labor standards within agriculture and raw materials supply chains, with specialized knowledge of sub-Saharan African markets and practices.
