Andrea has 18+ years’ experience working with civil society organizations and private sector networks in Mexico, Canada, and the United States, doing analysis, advocacy, and public policy recommendations on labor rights.
As a Program Director at Verité, Andrea leads the First Mile Due Diligence Practice Group, which focuses on strengthening brands’ and suppliers’ capacity to prevent labor risks and improve workers’ rights and conditions across the extended supply chain. Her work with first-mile supply chain actors allows her to engage deeply with suppliers to build their capacity in understanding and embedding Human Rights Due Diligence into their operations and systems. Andrea is a political scientist who graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal, with a master’s in International Migration Studies from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte, and a Migration and Governance Diploma from CIDE.
