Request for Proposals: Research on Labor
Conditions in the U.S. Recovered Fiber Sector

Verité is seeking to hire a research team with extensive experience in labor rights research, research tool development, and interviewing vulnerable worker populations, including among Latin American immigrants in the United States. Experience in the recycling sector or other
related or informal sectors is preferred. The project will include preliminary desk research and expert consultation to inform the research methodology and tools, development of a research plan and tools tailored to the context of the U.S. recovered fiber sector, worker and expert interviews, data analysis, and a final research report. The research will be carried out in February 2026 and the final report will be due in March 2026.


Verité Internships

Internships are available with Verité for the Spring and Fall semesters, and a Summer session. Verité interns do interesting and important work.

  • We offer stipends for all internships.
  • Internships are part-time.
  • We accept interns not currently enrolled as students as well as international candidates.
  • Application materials include a resume, cover letter, and writing sample. Your application will not be considered if you do not submit the correct documents.
  • It is preferable that writing samples pertain to international studies and showcase research and analytical skills.
  • All internships are currently remote.
