The Economic Policy Institute reports that U.S. Black women in jobs critical to the COVID-19 recovery make 11% to 27% less than white men.

Citing Forced Labor, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Blocks Fishing Boat From Fiji.
From the New York Times: “Officials said the operators withheld workers’ wages, kept their identity documents and subjected them to debt bondage — essentially enslaving them.”

CBP Forced Labor Division honored with the 2021 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal. The medal was awarded for the agency’s efforts to combat forced labor in U.S. supply chains.
