Enrico Bagadion at an EICC Training

Verité’s 5-day EICC Labor & Ethics Lead Auditor workshop, which includes a four-day mock audit for participants, is best known for its interviewing modules. Through self and peer review, the student ‘auditors’ learn and practice skills for developing rapport with workers and managers and advanced interviewing techniques to reveal hidden and often sensitive information.

But what then? What does this information signify? At the end of the day, an effective EICC audit reveals the root cause of compliance issues. This is where the management system comes in—the ‘home’ of most root causes. The EICC takes a systems approach that, like all the ISO management system standards, is based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act model. Verité helps the mock audit teams translate their interview and document review findings into leads that will point them to failures of the mock factory’s management system. Combined with aspects of Verité’s Systems Approach (VSA), the workshop teaches a holistic view that identifies the weak or missing risk controls that will be the center piece of any remedial action planning.

Praise from our workshop participants:

“Well executed, information packed, great facilitators”

“I not only grasped some basics on EICC, its interpretation and practices, but also gained other key takeaways learned from [the teachers’] experiences, which made the program effective and practical.”

“Thanks to the trainers for the great knowledge sharing with us through a lively and exciting delivery method, as well as fellow ‘classmates’ for the sharing; this course was indeed the best I ever had.”

“I tend to forget many of the trainings that I have attended or the people I met in them; however, this is one that is hard to forget—a truly unique and memorable experience.”

“It was like one stone hitting a few birds … great workshop, great company, new friends.”
